Saved from Cancer

Hi everyone around the world!

My name is Timothy and I live in a town called Rosyth, just a few miles north of Scotland’s capital -Edinburgh. I’d like to tell you how the Lord healed me of cancer.

When I was just 14 months old, my Mum and Dad took me to the doctors, because I suddenly couldn’t walk or get up any more. The doctor sent us home and said this sometimes happens – especially during the teething period of young children.

Somehow, my Dad wasn’t really convinced of that and prayed over me. Then he put me on a table and examined my back, where he saw that my spine was unusually bent and that there was a lump next to it. My parents took me to the hospital straight away and the doctors there examined me again. Then the big shock came. I had cancer in and around my spine and also around my heart and lungs. My chances of surviving were less than 50%, and if I would survive, there would be no hope of being able to walk properly again. The chances were that I would remain paralysed from the lump downwards. Other children who have survived the “Neuroblastoma” (that’s the name of the cancer), also needed hearing aids, spectacles and other things, because the treatment required often damages other parts of the body.

Our whole assembly went into intensive prayer for me and the operation took place the next morning. In the hospital, to everyone’s surprise (except for my parents who knew that the Lord would set everything right!), I was able to stand again after a week or so and then after a few more weeks I was running about as if nothing had ever happened.

I am now 8 years old, quite good at sports, my hearing and eyesight are perfect and the doctors still call me the “Miracle Child”!

Praise the Lord – He really does perform miracles today!
In His Love,

Timothy (8)
