I learned to change my circumstances through faith

Hi everyone!

My name is Tine and I live in Hanover, in Germany.  I was saved in 2011. Before I came to Hanover, where I got saved, I had been attending a charismatic church elsewhere for quite a while. In that fellowship I experienced a lot of love and had a feeling of security. Because of my move to Hanover I had to leave that fellowship, and I was searching for a new church. Then I was led by the Lord into this assembly. It is so different! There is much more discipline, and the type of fellowship is different. I found it difficult to get used to this different style. After a year I was about to give up, as every time I experienced correction or admonishment I would start thinking, “I’ll never make it”.

...every time I experienced correction or admonishment I would start thinking, “I’ll never make it”.

After a talk about this with one of the elders it became clear to me that God had set me into this assembly for a reason. And so I decided to stay in the assembly, and for the next year this was mostly due to simple obedience to scripture (as seen in HEBREWS 13:17). Then, after another year, God gave me the grace to understand why it was right to stay.

I was reading the book “The Fourth Dimension”, from Pastor David Yonggi Cho, and it was then that God changed my character. Cho says that our thinking affects the physical world (i.e. if we think negatively, we tend to be weak, or if we hate others, the thinking hurts us).

Up until that point I was rather pessimistic, in that I feared the disappointment of something not turning out as imagined. So I stopped anticipating anything positive. But after reading that book my world-view changed completely. I started to think and see things positively. I expected miracles to happen.

I was really impressed, and it was made clear to me how simple it could be to influence my circumstances and the physical world through my faith and mind.

PHIL 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Through Christ we have got the authority! MARK 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

Through our visions, and through the covenant of God, wonderful things are possible.

It is so true what the Bible says in LUKE 6:45 “…for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh”.

Through our visions, and through the covenant of God, wonderful things are possible.

The book “Praise Avenue” from Don Gossett then flooded my soul and my whole life with grace and blessings in such a way that I could do nothing else but praise the Lord and be joyful. Now I understand that in my “old” assembly I found love and friendship through fellowship and music. However, now I have all of that and more; most importantly, I have found a much greater source of love and fullness through God! I am free to enjoy my life from glory to glory.
