How God Blessed My High School Exams

The Lord answered my prayers concerning my exams. Glory be to God!

I was 17 years old when I was in my last year at high school. I was very excited to finish school and I looked forward to studying something that would help me in my future job. I remember how I had to sit the trial exams, which are usually held a few months before the final exams in October. They contributed largely to my final marks and I needed a very high mark to get into university the following year.

However, I did not have as much time to study for these trial exams as I had expected to because I was working a lot on my ‘textiles (sewing) major’ work, which was due just before the exams. I was getting worried because I spent the majority of my time on completing the textiles project rather than studying for all the other subjects.

I started to worry and panic. I did not know how I was going to achieve everything. It all seemed too much for me to handle!

1 PETER 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” I knew that if God said to cast all my cares/worries/concerns on Him, that He meant it.  I knew that He would care for me. So I put everything into the Lord’s hands and prayed that He would help me get the marks I needed. I also prayed that my ranking within the classes would not get lower, but improve.

Things fell into place: I managed to hand my ‘textiles major’ work on time and the trial exams went well.  Shortly after, I got my results back and praise the Lord! I came 1st in my Maths exam, got 93% in German, came 4th in Physics and so on. I was absolutely amazed! All the glory goes to God!  Indeed, without Him I could do nothing.

To cut a long story short, I then prayed that my final exams would go really well… and they did. I prayed that I would get into university… and I did. He has truly blessed me and He will bless you too if you put Him absolutely first in your life.

“With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” MARK 10:27

Amen! God answered your prayers! December 10,2016 I take the Act to determine if I'm qualified for colleges. I've been asking and praying to god personally everyday to bless me with a miracle like he did you.I believe in my Jesus Christ to please me with a great score so I can get accepted in Georgia state and Kennesaw !

Hi,

Thanks for writing in and for sharing your need. I have prayed for you, and you can praise the Lord that He is working out your life the way that He wants it. Praise Him for where you are and continue seeking Him first by spending time with Him in prayer and reading the Bible, then do as much as you can for preparing for exams, etc. God is a God who hears and cares for you.

Yours in Christ,
Susy

Thank you so much for sharing your testimony. Words cannot explain how much it has encouraged me. I sat my GCSEs (exams that students in the UK sit at the ages of 14-15) a few months ago and am due to receive the results in just over two weeks. Just after I had sat my exams I prayed frequently that God would help me receive the results I so desperately want to achieve, however as the summer has progressed my focus on God has decreased and I have to admit that I am no longer putting him first in my life as I should. I've recently found myself beginning to worry slightly as results day draws closer and I know that this is the enemy trying to scare me and challenge my faith. After hearing your testimony I intend to dedicate more time to God and do my best to put him first in my life, so that I will not be fearful when collecting my results and will be confident in knowing that I will get excellent grades, not through my own strength but through his.

Hi,
It is so uplifting to hear that my testimony could help you, with your exams and just trusting in the Lord to lead and guide you. What always helped me, when things got too much with studies and day-to-day life, was the Scripture in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". God promises to look after everything else, when we seek Him first. God will do the same for you, as He did for me - He doesn't respect persons. Would love to hear how your results have gone, when you get them back. Love in Christ, Susy.

Great to hear that you have been encouraged by my testimony! There were so many times also during my University studies where I could see how the Lord blessed me, when I put Him first. He has promised to take care of us - Matthew 6:33.
Yours in Christ,
Susy

Amen!!
Thank you for sharing, this was so encouraging!

Hi Alexandria, Great to hear that my testimony could encourage you. God is so good and He helps in every area of our lives, including studies, which at times can seem so overwhelming. Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." - this Scripture (one of many) taught me to put the Lord first and everything else will be added unto me - God takes care of everything when we put Him first in our lives.
Please let me know how things go. Love in Christ, Susy
