Healed of “Trigeminal Neuralgia” through Fasting and Prayer!

Hello,

my name is Evelyn, and I live in Bournemouth in England.  Some months ago, I started having severe pains on the left side of my face.  At first I thought it was a bad tooth, but the pain was indescribable.  It ran from a point on my forehead down to my front teeth.  I was not able to sleep properly, or concentrate at work.  I couldn't laugh, or even talk!  Whenever the pain came I quoted PSALM 23 which I learnt by heart, and cried to God for help.  I lived in fear of the next wave of pain. This went on for over a month!

During this difficult time my husband (who is a doctor) and I searched medical books to find out the cause and cure for this immense pain.  We found out that it was “trigeminal neuralgia”, which is caused by a nerve in the face.  Nothing can be done to cure it; treating the symptoms is the only option and this requires powerful psychiatric medicine which can only reduce the pain a bit. My husband also said that he knew of a case at his hospital, and the lady affected would scream with pain for several hours.

I also wanted to scream sometimes, but instead I cried to God and studied the Bible, searching for scriptures on healing.  One day as I was reading my Bible, a scripture was revealed to me from MATTHEW 17:21 which says "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting". I said “That's it, that's it!”  I was so happy, because straight away I just knew that this was the answer to my prayers!

I started to fast straight away, collected scriptures on fasting and also reading an article called “Prayer and Fasting, the Atomic Power of God” based on the book by Franklin Hall.  

I was astonished when the pain reduced dramatically on the very first day of fasting!  However, I was determined to keep fasting, even up to forty days, like Jesus.  On the second day of the fasting the pain was nearly gone, and by the third day there was no pain whatsoever.  That day we had some guests coming to visit, and my husband said I should stop fasting so that we could all enjoy a meal together.  In my mind, I started panicking, as I believed that only a long fast would defeat the pain and the spirit that was causing it.  I did not want to stop yet!

My husband told me that I was healed and that I should come and eat with the guests.  As soon as I did, the pain came back, stronger then ever and I left the room.  I couldn't move my face, which felt like it was paralysed.  My husband told me to rejoin our guests, smile and talk with them because I was healed, and that Satan was trying to trick me out of my healing.  I didn't think I could do it, but I did it anyway:  I went into the room, started talking and laughing, and suddenly the pain was completely gone and never came back!

It is still amazing to me what an incredible tool FASTING and PRAYER is.  God has given it to us so that we can fight evil and win, and I am so grateful to the Lord for it!

Greetings in Jesus' name! Right now I'm on a fasting period,and have come across this site where I was able to read your testimony. I was looking for articles of healing miracles through prayer and fasting. One of my reasons for this fast is the physical healing of my mother who is afflicted with severe arthritis. She's got the worst condition of that sickness that I've ever seen. Last December when I went home to visit her, it became worse as the gouts and corns continue to grow around her feet, including her elbows. She's in that condition for a long, long time, and now I'm strongly convicted to include her in my prayer and fasting. Thank God for your testimony as it has strengthened me to continue praying for her. God bless you and more power!

I have Trig. Neuralgia and Neurally Mediated Hypotension/POTS Syndrome. I am at the end of my rope. Please help me Evelyn. I cry out to God hourly.

Dearest Kelly! I cried reading your lines because I can feel very much for you and I know what you have to be going through right now. I can tell you what had helped me during the month of sleepless nights and difficult days at work where I still had had to perform my duties. I cried to God as you do and asked Him to help me. Then He revealed His word to me which says: "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting". Matthew 17:21 Jesus spoke these words after healing a lunatic child. His disciples tried to heal the child but they could not. Jesus had to rebuke the devil and the child was healed. Jesus said to his disciples that this kind has to be dealt with by prayer and fasting! I thought myself that I will have to fast for forty days to get rid of the pain, but already on the first day the pain had diminished considerably! There is an article which I had read before and during fasting called “Prayer and Fasting, the Atomic Power of God” based on the book by Franklin Hall. You can find the book on Amazon and some testimonies from the book on the internet. There is a scripture which I had quoted many, many times and which gave me hope that I won’t be in pain for much longer: “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. that is a brilliant testimony evelyn our God is an awesome God i am on that psychitric medication for the condition yoou describe and it is not that great considering going on a fast for healing any advice evelyn

Just wondering how long you have been healed and did you just drink water during your fast, wondering is vegetable juicd es would be o.k. and also what prayer and scripture verses did you pray.

Dear Holly, Thank you for asking. I have been healed for more than six years, completely free of pain, but I still remember how it was and I thank the Lord often and I praise Him for my healing. I myself did exactly according to the article "Prayer and Fasting the atomic power of God" which you can find on this website, and praise the Lord it worked for me. Through the problem I got closer to Jesus and my relationship to Him became deeper and I felt He answered my personal prayers. I relied on the sheets on health you can find on this website, too. They contain the Biblical scriptures about healing. I wish I could help you with this and you will find what you are looking for. Love in Christ.

Hi Evelyn, I found out a couple of days ago I have trigeminal neuralgia. The pain is horrific. I started my water fast today, and I like to fast for 3 days. My question is this...my doctor gave me painkillers(Carbamazepine), but I didn't take any on my fast today. Did you take any medication on your fast?

Dear SisterinChrist, My situation was different than yours. I feel I cannot advise you on fasting or the medication you mention above. I do not know the medication you mention. Please understand that I am not a medical person. I think you should be in close and regular contact with your doctor and follow his/her advice and guidance. My testimony is about a very personal encounter with Jesus Christ in Whom I believe. As to God and the Bible, Isaiah 58 may speak about matters you describe. thank you for your testimony i have been under attack with something the doctors say you never can be cured i decided whose words was i going to live by when it came to my own bidy i felt a tugging on my heart i felt called to try and fast i think god even honor the best efforts possible He knows our hearts the name of Jesus is so powerful i am asking for prayer that one day sooner then i think because i think like u did if i eat i will lose my healing its a lie to keep us from Gods glory i am begging God to heal me before i go back for more tests I will be healing and all reports will be yeah and amen..ur sisiter hope
