God Takes Care of Finances Too..

This is a testimony about a financial blessing I received from the Lord!

In our church, assembly groups from all over the world have been meeting each summer in Cornwall, England, for our AGM (Annual General Meeting). I really wanted to attend the AGM, as I had never been to England before and really wanted to see the people who are my brothers and sisters in Christ.

At this stage, I had been a Christian for 5 months and was living in Bremen, Germany. I was longing to attend this gathering, but my financial situation was looking very bleak. I was unable to save any money, so I called unto the Lord, praying and hoping that I would somehow receive the 1000 Deutschmarks I needed.

When I thought about how the Lord would answer my prayers, the idea came to my mind that perhaps somebody would lose a 1000 DM bill on the pavement. I realized quite quickly that God does not work this way. So I changed my way of praying and said: "Lord, if you want me to go to England to attend the meeting and see my Christian family, please give me the money! I also showed Him what He said in MALACHI 3:10 concerning finances: ... "and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it". I had faith that I would receive the money.

One day before I was meant to travel, I phoned a friend, saying: "Well, sadly I can’t come with you, because I do not have the money... ". Then, when leaving my apartment later on, I found a letter in my mail box. It was from the Institute for Social Affairs, informing me that they owed me 900 Deutschmarks for my flat and would be paying this back to me. I could not believe my eyes and praised the Lord for this miracle! Additionally I received 50 DM from my employer and another 50 DM as a gift!

God gave an exact answer to my prayers. I was overjoyed about this present... thanks to God only!
