How the Lord Blessed me with a Car and a Trip to Australia
A few years ago I had a desire to go to Australia, to complete my drivers license and get a car. Needless to say that all of these cost a lot of money and at the time I did not have a very good job and I was studying part time as well.
I managed to save up some money and eventually went to Australia for 6 months to help out on our church farm. About two weeks after arriving there, I received a large sum of money from my tax return, which came to me as a big surprise because I didn’t expect it for a long time and it seemed as though the government did not want to give me the money. This was a big step in faith for me as I arrived in Australia with a small sum of money and I had debts to pay back in Scotland. Before I left for Australia, it was an amazing period where I fought through in prayer and fasted which gave me tremendous joy.
After a year being back in Scotland, I managed to save up some money and completed my license but needless to say I had no money at all to buy a car. I thought about getting a cheap car and then repairing it but the Lord had other plans.
About 2 months after passing my test I got a message from my Dad saying that both he and my Mum would like to support me during my studies and transferred money every month. He did not know anything about my desire to buy a car. At the same time my neighbor offered me to buy his little Hyundai Getz but because he knew that I could not afford it he said I could pay it off slowly. With the money that I had received from my parents, I was able to pay off the car and insurance cover.
So all in all God blessed me and supplied all my needs. It’s great to see the Lord’s hand in everything we do and that He sees our desires. But above all, He draws us nearer to him through these experiences. Praise the Lord.
