Christian Pentecostal Church Group in Christchurch - New Zealand

Earthquake volunteer work in KaiapoiEarthquake volunteer work in Kaiapoi Welcome to Christchurch! At the moment the assembly group here is very small but passionate about bringing the Word of God to the people in this city and wherever we visit around the country. As new hubs open up around the city, Riccarton and the Re:Start on Cashel mall are a great place to meet people and share the gospel.

We are part of an international church with groups in various cities across the United Kingdom, Europe and the world. We meet in house, or "cell" groups in our own homes to hear from the scriptures, sing praise to God, and to share testimonies of what He has done in our lives. We often visit the brethren in Australia over the summer break which is always an uplifting time.

We hope to provide people with a deeper look into various topics that are of greater interest among people today thanks to the growing library of books and documentary films which have been collected over the years in this Assembly. Some of these topics include the works of God today, the validity and history of the King James Bible, science & the Bible, the Christian life, and other themes that are of interest.

As part of the culture of our assembly but also part of a Christian life, we often help each other out by doing DIY jobs around each other's homes and gardens. Kiwis are great in working around the property and many still have the "No. 8 wire" attitude of getting things done and fixing it. Helping each other out not only gets necessary jobs done but also provides an environment for getting to know each other better and helping one another out in troubles or difficulties we may have in our personal lives.

Baptising in Lake PukakiBaptising in Lake Pukaki While our nation may not always have had leaders who followed the Lord, this country is founded on Christian principles thanks to the God fearing portion of men and women who settled here. There have also been times in our history where men such as Smith Wigglesworth visited and were used mightly in demonstrating God's power and His will to set us free both from any bonds of sin but also those of sickness and disease. We are more than happy to hear from you. Whether you’d like to come to one of our meetings or prefer to meet up with a couple of us in town at a coffee shop, we are happy to oblige. Please feel free to contact us via the website (email: info@cai.org).
